Attribution

Every touchpoint, credited.

Voice Analytica writes your marketing, runs the schedule, sends it everywhere your buyers are, and shows you which touch actually earned the sale.

What attribution actually is

Almost every deal is touched more than once before it closes. Someone reads a post, visits your site a few days later, opens an email, takes a call, then signs. Attribution is simply the record of which of those touches actually moved the deal, and how much of the credit each one deserves.

Without it, you know a deal closed. You do not know why, so you cannot do it again on purpose, and you cannot tell which of the things you spend money on is worth the money.

Why last-click lies

Most reporting credits the last thing that happened before the sale. In this deal, last-click would give the whole win to a proposal email that persuaded nobody.

The five touchpoints of one deal, and the credit each deserves
TouchpointWhenWhat happenedCredit
LinkedIn post 3 weeks ago Read it, visited the site the same afternoon Most credit
Website visit 2 weeks ago Read the services and pricing pages Some
Email campaign 8 days ago Opened twice, clicked the case study Some
Call 2 days ago Twenty minutes with Sam, questions answered Some
Final email Yesterday The proposal, signed the same day Least

Last-click says the final email won it. The buyer first replied within an hour of the LinkedIn post, and the meeting that followed is what set the price. The post did the work; the proposal just closed it.

The loop

Five stages, one system. Attribution is only possible because the first four happen in the same place.

  1. Generate Content in your voice: campaigns, sequences, social posts.
  2. Schedule The calendar fills itself. Approvals where you need them.
  3. Deliver Email, social, calls and your website, from one place.
  4. Track Opens, clicks, replies, calls, visits, form fills.
  5. Attribute The credit goes to the touch that earned the sale.

The report itself

Pipeline credited to each touchpoint, deal by deal, for any period you choose. This is the same screen you open on a Monday morning.

The credited touchpoint is the one shown in cyan. Example data.

Move the budget

The post that earns the most pipeline gets more posts. The channel that never converts stops taking your money.

Settle the argument

Somebody says the email does the work and somebody says it is the calls. The report shows which, with the value attached.

Show your clients

Agencies send the same report per client, under their own brand, as the proof of what they are paid for.

How the credit is worked out

Every touch is recorded on the contact timeline as it happens: the campaign that was sent, the social post that was published, the call that was made, the website visit that came from it, the form that was filled in. Voice Analytica knows who did each one and when.

When a deal closes, the touches in the run up to it share the credit. The one that first brought the buyer in, or that moved the deal furthest, carries the most; a reminder or a proposal carries less. You can see the split on the deal, and change how it is weighted if your sales process works differently.

Attribution is included in every plan, on the same report, with no add-on.
